A motley crew of self-professed explorers cross the ocean to find the new world; Cristobel - a swaggering martinet who delivers speeches full of malapropisms, Pico the boy, who turns out to be a woman, psychopath Grotola Crotchlice, who discourses eloquently on the nature of doctoring, Massimo Tomata, a frustrated chef looking for the elusive ingredient for his pasta sauce, the first mate Amerigo Machiavelli, who is hoping to skinny-dip in the Fountain of Youth.
